Here, the partners review the proposed design to develop achievable budget goals, performance criteria, and an accurate assessment of cost schedules. While the project team is put together during the pre-construction phase, K&J offers professional recommendations on the timetable, performance and economic targets established for the project.

Equally important, the partners assure that the owner’s needs and specifications are being met throughout each phase of the design process.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Ongoing work is monitored to make sure it follows the plans and that the specified materials and components are used, and installed correctly. Adherence to the budget and timetable are also monitored. The partners experience and network of qualified expert architects, engineers, and other specialists give them the background and perspective to identify problems quickly and accurately, should they arise, and then help develop practical and workable solutions.

DESIGN SERVICES

Each design professional has his/her unique style, limitations, and creativity. We prefer that our clients work with the architect or designer of their choice to create their personal vision of their project. We work with several architects, who have somewhat different styles, which we can introduce to our clients if desired.

Thus, we are perfectly happy to start with detailed designs that clients have already prepared before engaging us. However, as noted elsewhere, we can often add value to the project by working with the chosen design team from inception of the creative work.
